Hi, my name is Emily. I am eight years old and I am in third grade. This is my story about Scoliosis. I found out about my Scoliosis one year ago. I found out about this when I went to my doctor appointment. When I heard about it I was so disappointed.

My colors are pink with an American Flag on it. In a few weeks I am going to get a new brase. On my new brase my colors are going to be light blue and light green. The light green is for the straps. There is going to be a rose and a horse on it. The horse is in the front and the rose is on the side. This is my 2nd time writing on the Spinekids. com. I have the brace off for two hours and on the weekend I have it off for a little bit longer than 2 hours. Sometimes it hurts a little when I bend down, but I got used to it a month later. In school I really, really get hot. Sometimes when I go to the hospital I get taken out of school. I really like that, but sometimes that gets annoying. So I just wish I could stay in school instead of going to the hospital.

My Orthotist is Megan. She is very nice. She helps me with my brace. I have to wear my brace for five or six years and that is a very long time. So I wish I only have to wear it for one year or two years. But it's O.K. At night it is very uncomfortable. I have gotten used to it. I'll write again next year.
