SpineKIDS.com is an online community for kids and families dealing with scoliosis. SpineKIDS.com is a place where kids can speak their minds, find information about scoliosis, play games, submit their stories and artwork, and enter contests. Developing a website that's safe and fun is our mission. Our privacy policies are designed to enable the broadest involvement without asking for unnecessary personal information.

Personal Information Collected
SpineKIDS.com will never require a user to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity. If a child under the age of 13wants to participate in our message exchange, parental consent is required in accordance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.)

How The Information Is Used
Publishing Stories and Artwork: When someone submits a story or artwork, we use the email address to communicate that it has been posted. We do not reveal the email address publicly. The child's first name is the only thing revealed publically.

Contests : From time to time, we may encourage users to enter contests. For minors, 13 years old or under, we require parental consent for contest entries to be complete. We ask each user that registers for a contest for an email address and a parent's email address in order to enter the contest. We use this information only to inform winners and to request additional personal (mailing/delivery) information from the parents of winners only. We may be required by state law to post the names of contest winners.

Message Boards: A child may register a user name on our message boards, but we do not collect personal information from registrees. Children are anonymous to SpineKIDS staff and to one another. If a child under the age of 13 wants to participate in our message exchange, parental consent is required in accordance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.) If a post from a child under the age of 13 includes any personal information that should not be made publically available, we will do our best to delete the information from the boards as quickly as possible.

Email To SpineKIDS.com: When we receive an email from a user, we respond to the inquiry and do not store the email address.

Disclosure Of Personal Information To Third Parties: Any information collected by SpineKIDS is stored securely. We only share this information with our employees and contractors to the extent necessary for us provide our services. Your information will never be sold to a third party.

Reviewing Stored Information For Your SpineKID: Parents can contact SpineKIDS.com and request an accounting of any personal information stored for their child or request that their child's information be deleted by sending an email to privacy@spinekids.com.
