Hi, my name is Samantha and I'm 14 years old. I just found out that I have scoliosis a few weeks ago. I was a little shocked of course. So as i learned a little bit more about it, it scared me a little.

But today we went to see Dr. Brock. He was very nice and he helped me through this time. He told me that I would have to wear a brace for about 18 months until T got done growing. I was very relieved when he told me i had to wear one cause I was scared that I would have to have surgery.

He also told me all the things that I could do wearing the brace and how long I will have to wear it each day. I have to wear it for 20 hours a day and 3 hours for sports.

He was soo nice so if you're looking for a doctor in the Houston area you should go to him if you want to go to someone who knows what they are doing. I totally trust Dr. Brock for everything that he is doing. But now i know i have all my friends, family, Dr. Brock and his staff, and ya'll will help me get through this. And I will help everyone else who had this problem.
